Memorial plaques can be mounted using the same methods used
for any other cast plaque.
The most often used mount for gardens would be either
the stake mount method or wood or machine screws. Memorial plaques
for trees, would typically use the stake mount, although
we have seen images where people have used wood screws and
screwed the plaque directly to the tree (we have
some concern for the health of a tree in this case).
When used as a grave or cremains marker that is placed flat on
the ground, we recommend a boss and stud mount. Some people have
even added a concrete pad under the plaque.
BOSS & STUD
Drilled and tapped bosses on back of plate. Threaded
studs for concealed mounting to brick, stone or cement.
Flat backed plates do not have bosses.
HOW-TO-DO-IT
Screw studs into threaded bosses in back of plaque.
Using studs to locate points on mounting surface,
drill holes in mounting surface slightly larger
than threaded stud.
If wall is solid such as cement or brick;
Discard washers and nuts. Fill holes using
'Liquid Nails', 'Epoxy' or other permanent mastic.
Push studs into the holes and anchor plaque
until mastic hardens.
If you can get to the back of the wall;
Insert studs through holes and have it held
in place.
From the rear, place washers on studs and
secure with nut
